Eddie Nketiah is playing his way into Arsenal manager Unai Emery's new season plans.
The Sun says Nketiah, 20, was due to join Bristol City on-loan.
But Emery may keep him around after an impressive pre-season goals against Bayern and Fiorentina.
Freddie Ljungberg's promotion to first-team assistant coach, having been academy boss, will have helped that.
Of Nketiah, Ljungberg once said: "He's a great football player. He is constantly running, and I could not be happier for him."
