Nathan Eccleston continues to impress for Liverpool after their 4-1 defeat of Wolves U18s this week.
Reds boss Hughie McAuley told the Daily Post afterwards: "All the lads did well but Nathan Eccleston was probably our best player. He was playing as a second striker and he was getting a lot of space and using it well.
"David Amoo and Gary Mackay-Steven did well and took their goals well. Sean Highdale and Astrit Adjarevic also had good game in midfield, while Stevie Irwin at right-back - he can play anywhere - defended well and also broke forward a lot. Martin Kelly and Joe Kennedy were solid at the back, so you are looking at six or seven playing really well."
