Dzeko, Milner form pleases Man City's Pellegrini

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is pleased with the fact that he is able to rotate his squad and get the same results each time.

City beat Leicester City 3-1 in the Capital One Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night with the second and third goals being scored by Edin Dzeko and supplied by James Milner.

The pair haven't been first choice much this season but Pellegrini was delighted to see them contribute so positively in the absence of some key players.

"That's why, for me, all of the players in the squad know that they are important," the Chilean told Sky Sports.

"Maybe one is playing more than the other, but we have so many games to play in the year that all of them have an important amount of games.

"Edin was playing less than (Alvaro) Negredo and (Sergio) Aguero because they were doing very well but every time he plays, he scores and that is very important for us."
