Dyche expects Liverpool target Ings to leave Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche suggests Danny Ings will leave the club this summer.

The 22-year old striker is out of contract at Turf Moor in July and is a major target for Liverpool according to reports.

Ings scored the only goal in the Clarets' 1-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday to finish the season with 11 goals and is set to exit after spending four years with the Lancashire outfit.

"Who knows (if he'll stay), probably not, just by the nature of his situation," said Dyche.

"Possibly? Who knows?

"I just think he wants a fresh challenge and a bigger challenge, He certainly wants to be in the Premier League - so does everyone.

"He has nicked a good goal and I thought he could have had another. He has played a big part over the last couple of years. He gets a lot of the headlines and I understand why but I wouldn't single him out against the rest of the group."
