Dutch pundit Valentijn Driessen is delighted for Anwar El Ghazi over his recent form with Aston Villa.
El Ghazi has stared down critics online to produce five goals in a month for Villa, producing some of the best form of his life.
Driessen said on Kick Off: “If you play at the top of the Premier League, you are a potential player for the Dutch national team. When he played in the youth of Sparta (Rotterdam), he already looked a bit like (Cristiano) Ronaldo.
"He has indicated, for example, that he may have left Ajax too soon.
"When you see last weekend's goal against Crystal Palace ... Great. Now and then you see flashes and you think: this looks like the Cristiano Ronaldo of five or six years ago."
