Jordy Clasie is finally set to make his first Premier League appearance this weekend.
The 24-year-old Dutch midfielder, who joined the Saints for £8million from Feyenoord in the summer, suffered a hamstring injury while on debut for the south coast club in the Europa League against Vitesse Arnhem in July.
Clasie has been unable to add to his games tally for Southampton as he then injured an ankle playing for the U21s but could be back in action against Leicester City on Saturday.
The ninth-placed Saints host the fifth-placed Foxes at St Mary's and Ronald Koeman is expected to include the 11-time Holland international in his match day squad.
