Dutch agent Rob Jansen still has big plans to buy a lower league English club.

Wycombe Wanderers were mentioned as a target, with the likes of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp and Liverpool hero Dirk Kuyt among those to be involved.

"That idea is still very much alive", Jansen told Voetbal International.

"Together with Dennis Bergkamp, Phillip Cocu, Dirk Kuyt and Henke Larsson.

"I'm not going to say which club it was about. But at the last minute we were passed by an American party. That was annoying.

"Now we are in the waiting room."
