Richard Dunne hopes to play out his career with QPR.
The veteran defender has just announced his international retirement from the Republic of Ireland.
He told the Fulham Chronicle: "Ideally, I would like to stay here for a couple of years and QPR still be in the Premier League.
"I love playing football and would like to carry on for as long as I can, but I want to play at a high level.
"If you're used to playing at a certain level to then drop down and drop down, you would probably get more frustrated with yourself. I would rather stay here as long as I could. That would be me."
