Dundee Utd's Robson hails Levein impact

Barry Robson has credited Craig Levein's arrival at Dundee United for his upsurge in form this season.

The Scotland midfielder told The Scotsman: "We've got a top manager who has been outstanding since he came. I'm just glad we've got him and Hearts don't. We do a lot of video analysis at the club on a Monday and Tuesday and I've had a couple of meetings with the manager when we've talked about a lot of things and he's helped me with his knowledge of the game. His assistance has been invaluable.

"If I've ever got a problem and I need to work on something or if I need a solution for something then I can go and ask him. I've been grateful for that and have enjoyed immensely working with him over the past year. I just hope he's part of things at United for a while because it wouldn't surprise me if a few big clubs were watching. His track record is second to none.

"We're doing pretty well at the moment [United are up to fourth in the SPL with 19 points from ten games] but won't get carried away with ourselves. There's a long, hard season ahead of us but people can see we're on the right track. There's still so much hard work to be done. I know that, the manager knows that and so do the rest of the players at Tannadice. If we take our foot off the pedal for one second then it won't take long to shoot down that league. So we aim to stay strong, stay fit and keep performing to the best of our ability."
