Dundee United have rejected a bid from an unnamed club for talented attacking midfielder Gary Mackay-Steven.
Terrors boss Jackie McNamara has revealed that the Tayside outfit were contacted regarding the 23-year old Scotland international but have turned down the offer as they plan to keep him at Tannadice Park for at least another season.
"We had a bid for him yesterday but it was rejected. That's as far as it is at the moment," McNamara told STV of the skilful winger.
"I've spoken to Gary about it and said to him that I want to keep him here even though he's going to walk away for nothing next year.
"I don't think the offer was good enough for him or for the club."
