Dundee United boss Craig Levein admits Hibs' youth system is the envy of Scotland.

He said: "The record Hibs have with young players is fantastic and credit to John for throwing these lads in. I went to see them against Kilmarnock earlier in the season and when I got the teamsheet I was amazed at how young some of them were, but they have been fantastic.

"Hibs have been bold with their youngsters, which has encouraged others to do the same, and that has helped Scottish football as a whole.

"At Dundee United our budget for youth development is much, much smaller than theirs but we're doing well. I'm pleased with what we have got from the youth system because we've brought through a few. But obviously I'd like to make it better."
