Dundee United v Hamilton match abandoned

Dundee United's home Scottish Premier League clash with Hamilton Academical, scheduled for Wednesday night, has had to be abandoned.

A waterlogged Tannadice Park pitch has forced the Tangerines and Accies meeting to be postponed, forcing Dundee to now make up at least four matches on the rest of the league.

Referee Willie Collum carried out an inspection of the pitch and decided it was unfit for the match, making it another instance in which Tannadice has seen a game called off this season.

Persistent rain left the pitch unplayable and a new date will be announced in due course.
