Dundee United striker David Goodwillie has won the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award.
The 22-year old has had a magnificent season for the Terrors, scoring 18 goals, and was named the best U23 player in the Scottish Premier League ahead of Celtic's Gary Hooper, Aberdeen's Chris Maguire and Heart of Midlothian winger David Templeton.
Goodwillie said it was a surprise but an honour to take the award which he felt was going towards Celtic Park.
"I was actually surprised because I thought Hooper would have got it. He's an exceptional player and he is one that I look up to," he said.
"It means everything, I felt I have had a good season and it's good to know other people have noticed that, including the players.
"I will probably go and phone my mum now and tell her I've won. She will be really proud."
