Dundee United captain Jon Daly is not getting carried away with reports linking him with West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic.

The 28-year old Irish striker has netted 11 goals so far this term but is not reading too much into suggestions that he could be on his way to the Premier League this winter which has attracted some friendly ribbing from his teammates.

"You just laugh it off, don't you? It's obviously all speculation," he told the Daily Record.

"I've been in the game long enough to know there's always stuff like this, just rumours. But it's always nice to be linked with clubs like that. You must be doing something right.

"The boys had a bit of banter about it. Willo Flood gives me a bit - but I give him as much as I get."
