Former Chelsea star striker Kerry Dixon has identified Didier Drogba as the key to the club's title chances this season. The Blues' second-highest goalscorer of all-time is a huge fan of the Ivorian marksman, labeling him the 'best in the world' and believes he is the main man for another Stamford Bridge Premiership.
"I don't just think he is the best in the Premier League, I think he is the best in the world of his type by a distance." said Dixon.
"By that I mean he is a big, bustling, powerful striker who can frighten the life out of defenders. It takes two centre-halves or more to mark him. Samuel Eto'o is another striker like that.
"Fernando Torres on his day would be the best of the other type, very similar to Nicolas Anelka in that he is quick, he can ghost in behind, he can drop deep.
"But Drogba is the best of his type and I think he is enjoying one of those special seasons, similar to a couple years ago where he got around 33 goals.
"It remains to be seen whether Chelsea play in a 4-4-2 when he comes back from the Africa Cup of Nations, or whether they stick to the 4-3-3 they have been playing while he has been away.
"But he's already scored 19 and he is virtually unplayable on his day. It's as if he has a point to prove this season and he is proving it."
