Drinkwater targets Man Utd senior breakthrough

Danny Drinkwater says he's enjoying playing with England internationals Gary Neville and Ben Foster for Manchester United's reserves.

"Playing with the club captain, what an experience that is," the midfielder told MUTV. "And Ben is a great professional and a great goalkeeper, and it's just great to be playing with them."

Having seen Reserves colleagues Rafael, Fabio, Rodrigo Possebon and Darron Gibson sample first team action in recent weeks, Drinkwater admits they have shown that the gap from second string to seniors can be bridged. "With the others, it just shows how it does happen, you can take a leaf out of their book. I'll just keep going, keep doing what I've been doing and try to get more positives than negatives."
