Drinkwater insists Leicester confidence remains

Danny Drinkwater says Leicester City's confidence is still evident despite losing to Stoke City on the weekend.

The Foxes were beaten 1-0 by the Potters at King Power Stadium on Saturday, which was their first defeat in five outings in all competitions, and kept them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

But midfielder Drinkwater insists the playing group have the poise and self-assurance that will see them eventually climb above the likes of QPR, Burnley and Hull City who sit above them.

"The lads try to stay as confident as they can throughout the season, no matter what. The past few results have been brilliant for us and we were pretty confident before the game," he told the club's official website.

"The positive is that the teams around us lost as well. We still remain in touching distance, which is good for us.

"We will try and play our best no matter who we are up against but if we have produced our best performances against the better teams then so be it. The confidence is still there and will never go."
