Julian Draxler is urging Benedict Howedes to stay with Schalke.

The Schalke defender has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham as he considers leaving the Bundesliga this summer.

Draxler, who has been linked with the Gunners himself after visiting London Colney last year, can't imagine Schalke without Howedes.

"To be honest: Schalke without Benny - I can not imagine. I wish that he remains loyal to the club," said Draxler to Ruhr Nachrichten.

"He has enormous quality and as a central defender would be hard to replace. And off the pitch he is for Schalke very, very important."
