Former PSG striker Julian Draxler has explained his move to Al Ahli SC.

Draxler, 29, made the move to Qatar this week.

"I could now say that after twelve years in Europe I would like to get to know a new culture, gain international experience, be part of an exciting project and completely ignore the subject of money," Draxler told BILD.

"Even if these things are true, I would be lying if I said that the financial part did not play a decisive role in my move."

The 29 year-old Germany international moves to Al-Ahli for a fee of €20m.

Draxler has penned a deal to 2025.
