Mexican side Chivas are prepared to offer Giovani dos Santos a move away from Tottenham. The 19 year old is not thought to be in the long-term plans of Spurs boss Harry Redknapp despite only just arriving for Barcelona under the previous manager at White Hart Lane.

Chivas vice-president Nestor de la Torre told Setanta: "We have asked various questions about his contractual situation, but the truth is that there has been nothing formal."
