DONE DEAL: Tottenham confirm signing of Swansea defender Joe Rodon

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.

The London Evening Standard reports the Championship side have been holding out for up to £15million for the Wales international after manager Steve Cooper made it clear the Swans would not budge on price.

However, negotiations continued up to the wire on Friday before the two clubs finally found an agreement, with Spurs paying £11million up front before add-ons.

Rodon, who faced England in a friendly at Wembley last week, had been a target for London rivals West Ham, who were put off by the price allowing Spurs to swoop.

The defender, who turns 23 next week, has featured five times for Swansea so far in 2020/21 and started all three of Wales' matches during the international break against England, Republic of Ireland and Bulgaria to take his tally of caps to seven.
