Newcastle fullback Harrison Ashby has signed for Swansea City on a season-long loan.

Ashby has joined Swans after moving to Newcastle in January.

"First and foremost he is a good defender, but one who can also get in the final third and deliver good crosses too," said Swans head coach Michael Duff.

"He wants to get out there, and play lots of games."

Ashby, 21, is available for Swans ahead of Saturday's Championship season opener against Birmingham City.
