Chelsea have re-signed Mario Pasalic and then immediately loaned him to Atalanta.
The Croatian, who has never played for the Blues, is now under contract until 2022.
He spent last year on loan at Atalanta, helping the club qualify for the Champions League with eight goals in 42 appearances.
The 24-year-old has previous loan experience in Spain, France and Russia.
