Nice have clinched the signing of Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
Schneiderlin has joined Nice for an undisclosed fee, the club have announced.
The 30-year-old made 88 appearances for the Toffees after signing from Manchester United in 2017, but has not been in manager Carlo Ancelotti's plans.
He will join Nice at the end of the month, though has permission to begin training with the club.
“We think we have a young and talented team. But it needs more consistency, more character. Thanks to his experience, Morgan will bring us that, " explained OCGN sports director Julien Fournier.
“We did this type of recruitment a few years ago with Dante. We start again with Morgan, and for a reasonable transfer fee. Because contrary to what has been said, it will oscillate between 2 and 4 million euros. We don't have to spend a lot of money to get stronger.
“Identifying good players is within everyone's reach. But identifying a quality player who will also bring the competitive mentality that we are looking for is much more complicated. This is the main axis of our transfer window."
