Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has joined Aberdeen on loan until the end of the season.

The England U21 international spent the second half of last season with Kilmarnock, garnering 15 first-team appearances.

Woodman is somewhat of a prodigy at St. James' Park, having made his reserve debut as a 14-year-old in 2011.

Dons manager Derek McInnes was on the lookout for a goalkeeper after his number 1, Joe Lewis, was ruled out for two months due to injury.
