DONE DEAL? Man City reach agreement with Eibar keeper Asier Riesgo

Manchester City have struck an agreement with Eibar goalkeeper Asier Riesgo.

Marca reports City have convinced the veteran to move to England.

With Claudio Bravo due back after an Achilles injury which kept him out for the entire season, City will consider loan moves for Aro Muric – wanted by Championship clubs Preston and Nottingham Forest – and Danny Grimshaw.

But Pep Guardiola wants experienced back-up to first choice Ederson and Bravo, and Riesgo emerged as a surprise option on a free transfer.

The former Real Sociedad stopper's previous claim to fame was that he was the first goalkeeper to save a Lionel Messi penalty, clawing away the Argentine's spot kick in a 2-0 defeat by Barcelona while on loan at Recreativo de Huelva in 2009.

He also had a trial for Tottenham in 2009 after Carlo Cudicini fell off a motorbike.
