Liverpool youngster Taiwo Awoniyi has joined Gent on loan.

The 20-year-old was in Belgium on loan with Mouscron last season. He will be back in the same league with Gent this season.

It is the fourth time he has gone on loan since being a Liverpool player. It is unclear if he will ever make it into manager Jurgen Klopp's first team plans.

Awoniyi has now spent time on loan at NEC Nijmegen, Royal Excel Mouscron, FSV Frankfurt and Gent.

He managed 11 goals and seven assists for Mouscron last season - leading to Gent's interest.
