Liverpool's young talent Billy Koumetio has joined Blackburn Rovers on loan this winter.

The defender is set to spend the remainder of the season with the Championship club.

Rovers, who are managed by Danish legend Jon Dahl Tomasson, are in 18th place in the Championship.

Koumetio, who is highly rated at the Anfield academy, could play as soon as the weekend.

Blackburn are next in action when they take on Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Koumetio joined Liverpool in 2018 from Orleans FC and has managed two senior appearances so far.
