DONE DEAL: Ioannou leaves Forest for Como

Nottingham Forest have announced that Nicholas Ioannou has joined Serie B side Como on a permanent basis.

The 26-year-old spent last season with the Italian second-division side.

Ioannou, who has 17 caps for Cyprus, came through the ranks at Manchester United.

Forest confirmed: "Nottingham Forest can confirm that defender Nicholas Ioannou has joined Italian Serie B side Como 1907 in a permanent deal.

"The full-back joined The Reds from APOEL in September 2020, going on to make five appearances in the Garibaldi.

"Ioannou, 26, featured 31 times whilst on loan at Como last season, making two starts under Steve Cooper against Coventry City and Burton Albion in pre-season.

"The club would like to thank Nicholas for his service during his time on Trentside and wish him all the best for the future."
