Newcastle United have signed permanently Aston Villa wing-back Matt Targett.
Targett was among a raft of January arrivals at Newcastle, where he joined the Toon on a six month loan.
Newcastle have now made converted the transfer into a permanent deal.
Targett made 16 Premier League appearances, during which Newcastle won 10 games, lifting them from the bottom three to finish 11th.
"I'm absolutely delighted to sign a four-year contract with this club," said Targett.
"For me, it was an easy decision to make the loan permanent after the welcome I had from my fellow players, the staff, the supporters and the owners so I'm really happy to be here."
The fee for Targett was £15m but £2m had already been paid as a loan fee last season.
Too manager Eddie Howe added: "Matt had a fantastic impact after joining on loan in January and made a big contribution to some excellent team performances.
"He is a great lad and a top professional who undoubtedly makes us stronger so I'm delighted he sees his future here."
