Heerenveen have signed Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard to a long-term deal.

Marca says Heerenveen have closed a deal for the transfer of Odegaard to the Dutch club.

The transfer has now been signed off, Odegaard moving June 30, 2018.

Real could decide to re-sign the 18-year-old in the summer market of if they deem it appropriate.

Whilst several of Los Blancos' stars traveled to the gala of the FIFA 'The Best' awards in Zurich, the player went to the dressing room before travelling to Holland, where he could be presented as early as Tuesday.
