Hajduk Split have snapped up Aston Villa goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic.

Croatian media sources say Kalinic has joined Hajduk Split on-loan to the end of this season. The deal will be rubberstamped on January 1.

Kalinic has not played a single match for Aston Villa this season. He worked at Hajduk from the age of 10, beginning his professional career in 2009 and stayed there until 2016.

He holds the club record for the longest run of clean sheets in the Croatian Championship: 775 minutes.

Kalinic was part of the Croatian national team at the 2018 World Cup, where the team took silver.
