Fabio Cannavaro has been named new coach of China.

It was confirmed on Friday that former Juventus captain Cannavaro would split the role with his existing position in charge of Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.

However, it is not clear whether the 45-year-old will be China's permanent CT or whether it is only a temporary arrangement.

Marcello Lippi, meanwhile, will act as an advisor.
