Former Osasuna captain Roberto Torres has left for Iran.

It was announced earlier last month that the 33 year-old would be released six months early from the conclusion of his contract.

And it's now been announced Torres has agreed a deal with Iran's Foolad.

The defender had been with Osasuna for 18 years, spending his entire career in Pamplona but for short spells away on-loan.

Torres originally joined Osasuna as a 15 year-old in 2004.
