Former Brighton wing-back Ezequiel Schelotto has returned to Argentina to sign for Racing Club.

The veteran defender was allowed to come off contract at Brighton last summer.

Schelotto said, "I left Argentina very young, without having been able to play in the Primera Division. Coming back is a challenge and at the same time, something I was looking for.

"Last year, it was very complicated throughout Europe, with my family we decided to return. Because I wanted to be close to my family and because I wanted to satisfy my desire to play in the country where I was born.

"And when Racing showed me a serious interest I did not hesitate."
