Celtic left-back Adam Montgomery has signed for St Johnstone on loan for the first half of the season.

Montgomery will spend the first six months of the campaign with the fellow Scottish Premiership club.

The 10-year-old was on loan at Aberdeen during the second half of last season.

The academy product, who has 15 games for Celtic, will be hoping to gain regular first team football.

"This is a big opportunity for me and I will be giving it my all every day," he told the Saints' website.
