Manchester City have sent new signing Daniel Arzani on-loan to Celtic.

The 19-year-old former Melbourne City attacker impressed for the Australia at the World Cup in Russia - earning him a dream move to the Citizens.

And Pep Guardiola has immediately shipped him off on loan to the Hoops, with the teenager looking to gain vital first team football.

Speaking to the club's website, Arzani has spoken of his excitement at linking up with Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead.

He said: "Celtic is a massive club with a great history and one of the best followings in the world, so I'm looking forward to getting started.

“The idea was put to me to come to Celtic and work with Brendan Rodgers, and it was something I was very interested in doing, and when it became a reality, I was very excited."
