Carlisle United have signed Newcastle United defender Macaulay Gillesphey on a free transfer.
Gillesphey, 22, returns to Carlisle on a two-year deal after leaving Premier LeagueNewcastle United this summer.
"I want to make sure the signings we make are the right people for me and the club," boss John Sheridan said.
Gillesphey, who can play at centre-back or left-back, initially joined the Cumbrians on a short-term loan in September 2015, which turned into a season-long stay.
Carlisle have also signed Gary Miller from Plymouth Argyle.
