Barcelona have wrapped up a preliminary deal for Fluminense midfielder Gerson, according to Brazilian sources.UOL Esporte says Barcelona have offered €3 million to Fluminense to acquire a right to be first to have the chance to purchase the player, in order to sign him in 2016.
If the signing goes ahead, Barcelona expect to pay around €20 million, though Fluminense are asking for €30 million.
Barça have used the agreement to steal a march on other European sides who are looking eagerly at the player, such as Juventus.
Barça's idea is to complete the deal in January, when FIFA's transfer ban, for irregularities in the signing of under-age players, is over.
