Al Ittihad have announced the signing of Karim Benzema.

The former Real Madrid striker has agreed a contract until 2026. The offer of 100 million euros net per season convinced Benzema to resist an automatic 12 month renewal in his Real deal.

Benzema leaves after 14 seasons wearing the shirt of Los Blancos.

"I don't have many words because it's a bit of a sad day, because it hurts me to leave the club. I had a dream, to sign and finish at Real Madrid, but in life there is another chance sometimes and I do it with my family," explained the Frenchman at yesterday's farewell ceremony.

His first words as a player of Al Ittihad were on video: "Looking forward to seeing you in Jeddah."
