Everton have completed a deal for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen.
The Toffees paid the Amsterdam club a fee of £23.5m for the Dutchman.
Klaassen captained Ajax to the Europa League final last season and has made 163 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2011 at the age of 18.
The 24-year old became the second signing of the day for Everton, after the club finalised a deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
“I'm delighted we've been able to bring Davy to Everton," said Toffees manager Ronald Koeman.
“He's a player who is only 24 but has a lot of experience and is a leader on the pitch. He has already captained Ajax for two seasons and that shows you the type of person he is.
“He is hardworking, likes to press and, of course, will give us more creativity and goals.
“It is another major signing for Everton Football Club and I am really happy we have been able to complete the deal so early in the summer."
