The youngster has been training with Doncaster this week.
Sky Sports says Doncaster boss Paul Dickov is ready to take Nimely on-loan.
Nimely, who is highly rated at City, has enjoyed spells out on loan at Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Crystal Palace over the last 18 months.
