Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov is confident re-signing Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda.
The Italy Under-21 international previously joined Rovers earlier in the season, but a hamstring injury at the beginning of October meant his stay at the Championship outfit was cut short.
Dickov said: "Kiko is getting closer to being fit again and although I have not spoken to United for a few weeks, I will be on the phone soon to see if we can get him back here as he was a big plus to the side with his eye for goal.
"I am always looking at how I can strengthen the side and this week I have been away a few days looking at players. If I see again what I saw on Friday night, I will look to bring in other players to play instead."
