Former Manchester United boss Tommy Docherty backs the appointment of new manager Louis van Gaal.
Van Gaal was confirmed by United this week.
The Doc told the Manchester Evening News: "The players will look at the manager and say 'what did he do as a player or a manager?' and they will be impressed with van Gaal's record.
"They'll have asked Robin van Persie about him and will have been pleased with what he's said." Much was made of the switch to a more defensive style under Moyes and Docherty, who brought a two-winged cavalier approach to United, is looking forward to seeing a return to the swashbuckling football the fans demand.
"To be Manchester United manager you have to play entertaining football," he said.
"It's the number one priority. Van Gaal has to give them the type of football they want. "Being Dutch, he will want football played the way I would like to see it."
