Djurgardens return for Man City starlet Guidetti

Swedish outfit Djurgardens, who turned down the opportunity of taking John Guidetti on loan last season, have now expressed an interest in the 18 year old Manchester City striker. The youngster is yet to make his Premier League bow for the Blues and finds himself some way down the pecking order at Eastlands.

Djurgardens are hopeful of a deal, but admit they have some way to go in order to land the Sweden U21 international after last season's refusal of the player's services.

"I have made enquiries about John's situation," Djurgardens sporting director Stefan Alven told Expressen.

"The issue is the relations since he was supposed to be on his way to us last season."

Alven is hoping an agreement can be reached but, with Guidetti having been on the bench for City in their FA Cup clash at Notts County over the weekend, admits he might be left disappointed.

"It doesn't feel very possible right now," he added.
