Djite to leave Gold Coast for Adelaide United return

Bruce Djite is expected to sign a new deal with Adelaide United after he completes a loan deal with Chinese club Jiangsu Sainty.

The 23-year old striker played out the A-League season with Gold Coast United after returning home from Turkey but will now sign a two-year deal with the Reds, returning to Hindmarsh Stadium, for the club he made 16 appearances for between 2006 and 2008.

Before that, however, Djite will have a short stint in China joining Central Coast Mariners captain Alex Wilkinson at Jiangsu and then return in time for the 2011/12 A-League season which kicks off in October.

Djite's departure is the second of its kind for the Gold Coast who have lost star striker Shane Smeltz who is expected to be unveiled as Perth Glory's new signing this week.
