Stoke City have opened talks for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
The Sentinel says the 26 year-old was at Stoke's training ground much of yesterday for talks with boss Mark Hughes and chief executive Tony Scholes.
The club is also hoping to have a medical signed and sealed ahead of any move.
Diouf is now a free agent after severing his ties with German outfit Hanover - but will command a healthy salary.
