Diego Costa is digging in his heels at Atletico Madrid.

While Atletico are prepared to sell the striker this summer, Marca says the Spain international wants to stay.

Costa still has over a year to run on his contract and wants the chance to have one final season with Atletico.

The veteran feels close to Diego Simeone and believes he owes the Atletico coach a big final campaign after the Argentine pushed to bring him back from Chelsea two years ago.

Costa, who has struggled with a back injury this season, is convinced if he can be fully fit he still has plenty to offer at this level.
