Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Paul Dickov was on show as Toronto FC trialists impressed in a pre-season hit-out against DC United during the week.
The 37-year old was dangerous in the first half of the scoreless draw and looked as though he will still in good touch.
Another Reds hopeful, Kosta Bajic, also performed well as did goalkeeper Hunter Gilstrap who played in the United Soccer League last season with Cleveland City.
So far this pre-season, Toronto coach Preki has been overlooking plenty of trialists as he searches for some quality that will not cost the club a fortune.
