Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat made sure away fans enjoyed themselves on Friday night, despite defeat at Adelaide United.

Muscat, currently serving a season-ending suspension, 'shouted the bar' for Victory's fans at a local watering hole in Adelaide.

Talk is the former Wolves and Rangers defender dropped a cool $1,000 to cover the fans' drinks bill.

"Musky's gesture doesn't surprise," one Victory member told tribalfootball.com. "I wasn't there myself, but it's the sort of thing Kevin does.

"He's brilliant with the fans, the young kids, he' a great ambassador for soccer in Melbourne."
